A Community Conservation Fair

SAVE THE PLANET! During a time when global warming, energy conservation and overuse of the earth’s non-renewable resources are becoming critically important issues of concern for all of America, volunteers in Southern Maryland have organized Earth Fest 2007 to learn and apply what we can do to reduce or eliminate the adverse effects we may be causing in our daily living. Concerned citizens, government agencies, area businesses and elected officials will participate in an organized conservation fair.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES:

The event will be held in conjunction with the St. John’s Country Fair offering:

        • baked goods
        • specialty items
        • used books
        • art show and sale
        • charcoal portraits
        • activities for kids
        • historic church tours

Come and spend a pleasant afternoon and learn some useful things

 about how you can assist in the stewardship of our planet.

This is a community event that will aim

to inspire us all to do a better job of conserving scarce energy

resources, reducing pollution and recycling

used and waste materials.
